Vinyl or a “record” is still a well known format of audio. In some cases it is preferred form of audio storage. Vinyl gives the recorded songs an individual sound with tiny imperfections in the sound produced. Thus is because the sound produced via vibrations on the needle attached to the “head” of the record player picks up imperfections on the Vinyl surface, including dust and scratches. The vibrations on the needle occur because of the bumps on the track of the record; this sound is then amplified and sent to a speaker for more audible sound production. Vinyl is unique out of the forms of audio-visual formats that are still used regularly, as it is an analogue form of recording.
